The final round of the Prototype Sprint Series Association (PSSA) season at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), held from October 30 to November 2, brought the curtain down on a thrilling year of prototype racing. In this final round, a staggering 45 prototypes took to the grid, including 11 Revolutions, delivering an unforgettable weekend of close competition and spectacular driving.
Revolution Drivers Lead the Charge
Revolutions were the dominant force across the weekend, with several high-profile entries lighting up the field. The Revolution Cup entry list featured:
Ron Fletcher – Revolution RSR 500 EVO
John Mcaleer – Triple C Racing 500 EVO

From start to finish, the Revolutions were the cars to beat. Ron Fletcher and John Ulmer engaged in an intense weekend-long battle at the front, while Elvis Stojko, Nathan Duckles, and Steven Zinger were rarely separated, often trading positions and racing wheel-to-wheel through COTA’s technical sections.
Throughout the field, battles raged as Paul Read and James Dennison fought closely across both races, exemplifying the competitive spirit that defines the Revolution paddock. Debutants in the Revolution Cup included Sally Mott, Joshua Tatum, Steven Zinger, Elvis Stojko and John Mcaleer, all of whom impressed with how quickly they adapted to the Revolutions.
Fletcher Triumphs in Gold Helmet Race
Sunday’s prestigious PSSA Gold Helmet Race provided a fitting climax to the weekend. Defending PSSA Champion Ron Fletcher claimed PS1 victory in his Revolution 500 EVO after a fierce duel with Ulmer, who finished just behind in P2. Judd Miller rounded out the podium in third with his SR10.

Notable Performances and Tough Luck Stories
While the podium finishers took the headlines, several drivers showed impressive pace. Sally Mott made an eye-catching debut, setting some of the fastest lap times of the weekend before a DNF ended her race prematurely. Similarly, Joshua Tatum’s promising debut, that saw him rapidly improving in every session, was cut short after a DNS.
PSSA West championship leader Chris Hinojosa endured a tough weekend, side-lined due to a black flag infringement, allowing rivals to close the gap in the PSSA West Championship — final standings for which are still pending official confirmation.
Season Conclusion and Final Standings
In the Revolution Cup series however, the points were clear, with Ron Fletcher emerging victorious, narrowly defeating Zac Moseley by just 10 points to claim the title. The final standings were:
